Two months old!!

Aly turned two months old last week.  Time is really flying by!!  Here are her stats:

Height: 22.25''
Weight: 9lbs 10oz

So she's still a little peanut, but she went from the 3rd percentile to the 13th this time for her weight, and made the 48th percentile for her height.  Looks like she's going to take after her mommy & daddy and be a little string-bean until she becomes a teenager.

She loves smiling, and is working really hard on talking to us.  She coos and giggles, especially when we mock her facial expressions or her coos :)  There is nothing, NOTHING better than walking in to her room in the morning and getting greeted with a giant gummy grin.  It melts my heart every time!  She is working hard on her head control and likes to sit up in her Bumbo or sit on our laps and see what's going on around her.  She still hates tummy time and will flip herself over every time unless we hold her there.  But we did find out that she loves tummy time in the bathtub!!  She will kick and splash her legs and giggle (and of course I hold up her chest just in-case she decides to go face-first into the water).

We are working on sleeping through the night.  Over this last month we went from two feedings in the middle of the night down to one.  And the last few nights she has stopped actually waking up and just fusses in her sleep.  I was getting her anyway, but that was fully waking her up and making her mad.  So last night I just let her fuss, and after 30 minutes she went back to sleep.  She didn't wake up until 7!!

Last week Great Grandpa T came to visit from New Mexico.  He wanted to make a special trip out to see all five of the new babies :)  He's 91 so he does not travel very often and we don't know how many more visits we will have with him.  Great Grandpa really enjoyed Aly, and she had a great time with him too.  He loved holding her, and she decided his lap was a super comfy place to take a nap.  Great Grandpa was so comfortable that he fell asleep too :)  We have the cutest picture of the two of them just snoozing away!!

Tomorrow is my first day back at work :(  Its been great having the last 10 weeks off with her.  I really wish I could just go back part-time, but we will have to see next year if we can make that work.  We did our daycare trial run with grandma on Friday and she loved it!!  M/W/F she will be going to grandma's, and on T/Th she will be at our house with the babysitter.  Hopefully this arrangement works out well.
